The ten order of heroes for the almighty mission to Awgu Hills and jungle, Enugu, in search of the “Lost Chronicle”, emerged last night on the nation’s numero uno TV reality show, Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS V) now showing on popular national and cable television across Africa and beyond.

They were selected at the final selection party, attended by the ‘Who’s Is Who’ in the entertainment industry in Nigeria. The episode was anchored by "Freeze" of Cool Fm. He traced the introduction of Gulder into the market in Nigeria to 1970, pointing out that the lager brand of Nigerian Breweries Plc, has grown to become the fastest selling in the country.

On the Ultimate Search V, he disclosed that 25,000 applicants entered for the contest and after the hectic and rigorous screening and selection exercise across the country, 40 were selected for a more rigorous training exercise at the Sea School, Apapa, from where the 18 semi-finalist where picked for the last and final ten who would make it to Awgu Hills.

The contestants where there after called upon to introduce themselves one after the other. Thereafter, Anoliefo Izuchukwu was presented to the audience. after a brief interaction, he was told he was not going to make the order of heroes for the search this year. Iweka Linda and Dutman Fredrick where presented to the audience. both were declared fit to proceed to Awgu hills for the search. Uloko Rita and Chima Ikechukwu were presented next.

 


While Rita sailed through for the search, Chima was dropped. Okop JJ came next and was given a clean bill of health to go in search of the ‘Lost Chronicle.’ Okpala Yvonne and Nwachukwu Micheal were called to judgement. While Yvonne was asked to stay behind, Nwachukwu was told to proceed on the mission to Awgu. Olanrenwanju Abiola and Mokelu Brain were also shown the green light to be on board GUS V While Egedius Ohakwe was sent back home to join his twin brother, Ikenna who had ealier been dismissed from the at the Sea School. Pusmut Lilian was also asked to stay behind as Frank Adamu Muhammed and Opuogulaya Abigail were cleared to embark on the titanic search for the ‘Lost Chronicle’. Vivacious Vivian Okafor couldn’t make the list.

The climax of the final selection was when Manuel Nimiteim, Lori Sylvester and Kelechi Ohakwe were called upon to nook horns for the final slot. When the opinion of the audience was sort on which among the three candidates (two males and one females), majority of them routed for the “guy in coat” while some others cast their lots for the lady. Amidst the emotion laden atmosphere, the lady, Ohakwe Kelechi got the ticket. She couldn’t believe it. Her twin Junior brothers had earlier been sent out of the race. The three Ohakwes had entered for the GUS V. The three of them made the list of 40 for the selection at Sea School. Now, the lady in their midst, made the final 10 for this year’s ultimate search.

There was wild jubilation before the anchor man for the show this year was presented officially to the public. He expressed satisfaction with the final 10 he is billed to lead into Awgu Hills which he described as a terrain yet to be explored by so many people and for so many years. “They will gain their manhood or womanhood there”. He assured.
