Today is the D-Day in Awgu Hills…the final day of search for the “Lost Chronicle” and the day of judgment for the last three contestants- Frank, Mike and Linda, still standing in the captivating Gulder Ultimate search (GUS V). The made in Nigeria adventure reality TV show, seized the centre of entertainment in Africa and beyond in the past three weeks.

A winner is bound to emerge to-night to be crowned the new Ultimate man or woman. All the contestants standing have equal opportunity of winning. They all have their weak and strong points judging from past episodes of the search. They all look good no doubt and portray the core value of the Gulder brand of lager bear. They are confident, determine, strong and have success going for them to have come this far in the competition. Now who would you say is the ultimate of them all? That occurred to be the missing link which has to be determined today in the set up.  Is it a ‘HE’ or a ‘SHE’? Who is the chosen one by God to discover the ‘Lost Chronicle’? … Frank, Mike abi Linda? Who gets the big bucks? …the N7 million Plus N500,000 wardrobe allowance and the brand new ultra modern SUV to cruise home?

Who becomes the last man standing between Mike and Frank? Is Linda destined to make history by creating an upset and become the first Gulder Ultimate Woman ever? Are we set to see a feminine face for Gulder in the Ultimate Search? The anxiety is thick in the air, The shocking eviction of the ‘mother hen’ Ruphina Ohakwe from Green Hills Camp and from the ultimate search, not withstand, Linda is highly rated to be strong and smart even where she could sometimes be child. She is highly determined and ambitious. But would she live up to the challenge?

On the eviction of Phina the previous day to automatically make her the last woman standing, she made it clear that: “some one has to go for a winner to emerge”. She has repeatedly maintained her stand to become the first Ultimate Woman in the search which entered its fifth edition this year and she seems to be having success trailing her path. All past episodes had been won by the guys - EZEUGO, LUCAN, HECTOR AND DOMINIC in that order. Now is the era or a new order of heroes in the Ultimate search.

Will Frank and Mike live up to their manhood and stop the menacing impact of Linda now? Who emerge the last man standing between Mike and Frank. They are both strong no doubt but mike seem to be apply a slow and steady tactics in the search while Frank is loud and aggressive. It is certainly going to be the case of where two elephants fight. Awgu Hills and jungle is there to tell the story at the end of the day. Again, who emerge winner of Gulder Ultimate Search V this year? The zero hour is here. Keep guessing- Frank? ...no! Mike?… no! Linda?…no! Then who? A Winner must emerge to-night. The Lost Chronicle must be found whether the ‘tyrant warlord’ likes it or not.

LAST NIGHT ON THE SHOW
High points of GUS V, this year, characterized the episode with a task which saw to the impromptu eviction of Ruphina. With the collapse of the Place of The Talking drum the previous day, the contestants moved out of Green Hills Camp packing all that belong to them. The movement started in the night and it was like a journey into the world of the unknown in the jungle. after a long tedious trek, they found an open space in the jungle to lay their heads.

Phina said she saw a scorpion which means bad luck to her. She also hates snails and snakes. Their journey however continued the next morning until they discovered a clue which read: “Do not open until you have three clues each”. The clues were scattered in different trees. They picked them only to discover that each of the clues contained some letters and when they put the letters together, it formed the world “CHRONICLE”; which indicates that they are on the right track with the search said the presenter, Bob-Manuel Udokwu. “From now on, no more team work. You are all on your own. Follow this path and meet on the other side.” he instructed.

Off they went running and crossing every obstacles and barriers on their path. Phina as the unofficial mother of the house’ packed every remaining food items in her bag which obviously weighed her down. She got to the very last barrier mounted with a fallen tree before Frank and Linda but finds it difficult to cross with her heavily loaded bag. She came last to the presenter and was shown the way out of the ultimate search. “Obviously you came last. I have just three piece of papers for the first three. So this is it for you. Follow the way you followed here back” Bob ordered Ruphina as he announced her eviction from the ultimate search, leaving Linda as the Last and only woman standing in the search.

What happens next? Tomorrow is the final. Now, it is a game of head or tale. Could the ultimate search winner be a man or woman? Only time will tell.
