The tyrant war lord may actually be on the prowl in Awgu Hills. Just last night on the exciting reality TV show Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS V), two more Heroes of the new Order, Abiola Olarewaju and Fredrick Dutman were shown the way out.

They followed the path of Rita Uloko and Brian Moleku from the Green Hills camp in the jungle, back to their respective homes. Their “relevance” in the superlative adventure, in the search for the ‘Lost Chronicle, now showing everyday on popular national and cable television networks in Africa and beyond, hit the brick wall. Biola and Fred failed to hit the bull’s eye. What a pity? You never can tell what happens next and how it will happen in the GUS says the presenter, Bob-Manuel Udokwu.  

The Task:
The eight remaining Heroes were split into two groups with Frank and Mike as leaders. Frank chose Fred, Phyna and Linda to form Team ‘A’ while Mike picked JJ, Biola and Abigail to form Team ‘B’. Each of the group members were saddled with the task of throwing two spears at a time to hit a sack. The sack had three distinct concentric cycles, painted in red, black and gold. “If you strike red, you earn 10 points, if you strike black, you score 6 points and if you strike on gold, you record 4 points. But if you strike ordinarily on the sack, outside the cycles, you score 2 points and if you strike at nothing at all, you record 0 (zero). They were told.

Each team member was to go three rounds of two throws each. At the end of the day, Mike recorded 6 points, JJ- 10 points, Abigail- 0 points (her throws rubbed the body of the sack twice) and Abiola 0 points (she never came close to target) in Team ‘A’. For Team ‘B’, Frank recorded 4 points, Linda- 2 points, Phyna- 6 points and Fred 0 points (his spear only rubbed the body of the sack).

At the group stages, Fred in Team ‘B’ and Biola in Team ‘A’ were found to have recorded the lowest individual performances in their different groups. “The implication for the two people that came last in their group” declared the Presenter, “is that at this point in the ultimate search, you are eliminated. Fred, you and Biola are hereby evicted from the ultimate search. Go back to the Green Hills Camp, pack everything that belong to you and leave the camp at once”.

Back at Green Hills Camp, Biola and Fred knelt down said their last prayers and left while others continued with the task. On their arrival, they expressed shock over the evictions. Mike was shocked that he could even hit the sack while Phyna felt bad because Biola was her “prayer mate”. Abigail felt she could have suffered the same fate, while JJ said he was unshaken by attempts by the opposing team to distract him.

Place of the Talking Drum:
On the task, the presenter remarked that the Heroes have been able to learn what it should be “when you are not able to perform a task you are not used to”. Some of the Heroes however see the day’s task with some level of difficulties. Some say it was fun. He later showed them the video clip of the story of their mission to Awgu Hills which he claimed was gotten from an unknown source, coupled with the “time and legends of the future around here”.

Bob reminded them that a group task doesn’t protect them from eviction stressing that at any point in time we find you lagging behind, you may be out” For his outstanding performance, JJ got a plate of delicious food and was further appointed as the head of the camp. The Totem was equally handed over to him as staff of office. He chose Abigail to be the custodian of the Totem.

Bob finally observed that in GUS, “when we punish offenders or failures, we also reward achievements. “ He announced some unusual movements at night in a place. The Heroes are bid to storm the place for proper investigation tomorrow. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED… DON’T MISS OUT!
