The legendary General Maxmillian helmet, found in 2005 by Lucan Chambliss to emerge the Ultimate Man of the second edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) at Obudu Hills in Cross River state, has been rediscovered in this year’s edition of the annual adventure reality TV show currently rocking the soul of Africa and beyond on popular national and cable networks.

The shocking find was made during last night episode, by Linda, one of the Heroes of the new ‘Order, while performing a task. There is however the strong notion that the helmet may have found its way to Awgu jungle as a clue for the ten new Heroes, now combing the Hills of Awgu, in the tedious search for the “Lost Chronicle”. It brings to two the number of items discovered in quick succession by the GUS adventurers in Awgu. On their first task the previous day, the treasure chest, suspected to have been tucked away on the river bank of Snake Island by the Pirate ship Captain, Kush, and discovered in 2004 by Ezeugo in GUS 1, was recovered.  

Each of the treasures has been put under the custody of each of the two teams. Team “A” has the General Maxmillian helmet while team “B” is keeping an eagle eye over the Treasure chest. “They must not get missing” warned the presenter, Bob-Manuel Udokwu.

A recap of the previous day’s episode revealed the hot argument which ensued amongst members of the winning team “B” on weather to give part of the food prepared to the loosing team “A”.  They were ordered to stay behind that night at the place of the Talking Drum and watch over the treasure chest recovered from the hills earlier. Frank expresses worries over the one point he recorded during the task while Phyna, now having a plaster on her left leg, was praised for taking over the kitchen.

The shelter still constitute major problem to the heroes. They had eba for dinner and then beans and garri the following morning. The ladies where entertaining themselves with a song when Bob-Manuel Udokwu arrived for the day’s task.

The Day’s Task:

It was fun as teams “A” and “B” where asked to tie themselves one after the other. They were then instructed to crawl under a net, then scaled through the walls (two) in front of each of the teams, to get a riddle solved and proceed to the next task. Half way into the task, team “B” was ordered back to the starting line for failing to climb over their own fence. At the end, they got the riddle which reads: “Long time ago, tortoise was planning to attack the animal kingdom and he wanted dog to assist him in procuring hammer. Dog said he would assist him only on two conditions: (1) leave out the last in HELL and … But before Dog could continue, tortoise smiled happily and asked: why? Because he already knows the second condition and it is MET. What is it that dog wanted? And which Tortoise was going to provide? The answer was HELMET and the new Heroes went in search of the helmet and Linda in team “A” found it- General Maxmillian Helmet.

Marks were awarded for the day and Fred, with the lowest score among the males was asked to reconstitute a new all female team “as the only male”. He picked Biola, Linda, Abigail and Phyna. The two new teams were later asked to compose a song each to entertain themselves the following day.
A member each from the teams was asked to pick one of the recovered treasured for safe custody by their teams.
