After weeks of rigorous screening, training and selection exercises across the country, the nation’s number one reality TV show, Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS V), finally hits the screen last night with lots of intriguing action, suspense, frills and thrills to make your day.
The episode previewed the theme of this year’s edition of the must watch reality TV show “The Lost Chronicle” by renowned actor and top Nollywood star, Bob Manuel-Udokwu who is also named as presenter of the edition, this year as well as played back old memories from the median edition of the exciting GUS 1, at the Snake Island, Lagos.
It featured the ‘night of storm’ when the contestants received the first baptism of the GUS to always put their house in order - they were beaten black and blue, all night by the rains for constructing a leaking roof over their heads. There was also the terrifying scene from the dreaded encounter with the big, hungry and angry boar with the revealing sport light on the exploits and performance of the contestants in the search, with Chidi Mokenme as Presenter.
It featured the ‘soap opral girl, Joy who has gone down in history as the first evictee of Gulder Ultimate Search; the ‘play boy’, ‘Stan the man’ Stanley who suffered emotional break down on his eviction; the fearless Seun; Latoya, Yewande and how hard fighting Sandra was abandoned to her fate by the sea side to be eventually emerged the Last Woman Standing in the year’s edition of the show and the first of GUS.
The episode also brings afresh, the battle of wits, nerves and brain, between the ‘macho Julian and ‘The Eagle King’, Ezeugo, for the Ultimate prize. But sheer determination and focus gave it out to Ezeugo. He was least rated to win. He searched frantically and found the lost treasure underneath Julian’ foot and was crowned the Last Man Standing in the 2004 edition in Snake Island- the very first Ultimate Man in the exciting GUS competition. He smiled home with the ultimate prize of N3 million.
The winning prize in the competition has since been raised to N7 million in addition to N500,000 wardrobe allowance and a brand new SUV.
There was also highlights of the rigorous screening and selection process for the GUS at regions. The programme comes on air once again to night on popular TV Channels and cable networks across the country. Don’t miss out.
